Product Description
Bacteriostatic Water is a sterile aqueous solution formulated for laboratory research applications where a consistent, sterile diluent is required for the preparation and handling of research compounds. It consists primarily of highly purified water with a controlled amount of a bacteriostatic preservative — typically benzyl alcohol (0.9%) — which inhibits the growth and reproduction of bacteria in the solution, supporting multi-withdrawal use in controlled workflows.
In research environments, bacteriostatic water is widely used as a solvent for reconstituting lyophilized peptides, proteins, and other biochemical compounds prior to laboratory experimentation, as well as for dilution and preparation of solutions that require sterile handling. This formulation supports repeatable laboratory techniques and helps maintain the sterility required for accurate experimental setup.
Because bacteriostatic water contains a preservative, it differs from sterile water alone by allowing researchers to withdraw multiple aliquots from the same container over a period of time under proper sterile conditions, a common requirement in peptide reconstitution workflows.

Storage Directions
Store protected from light and moisture under cold conditions. Short-term storage at −20 °C is suitable for routine laboratory use. For long-term preservation and maximum stability, storage at −80 °C (−112 °F) is recommended. Allow the vial to reach room temperature prior to opening to prevent condensation. Reconstituted solutions should be refrigerated and handled in accordance with standard laboratory practices.
Intended Research Use
For in vitro laboratory research and analytical applications only. Intended for use by trained professionals in controlled research settings investigating cellular repair, inflammation pathways, and regenerative signaling mechanisms.
